CeraVe Blemish Control
Stop The Pop
How can skincare become engaging content for a live gaming audience? We gamified the skincare routine itself, transforming CeraVe's product promise into an interactive challenge where the creator directly unlocked community rewards by helping "patch" blemishes appearing on screen.
Working with LiveWire, Business Goose, we developed Stop The Pop, a chat-triggered mini-game that made skincare feel native to Twitch culture.
The stream was structured around three escalating activations woven between gameplay segments. Mid-gameplay, blemishes suddenly appeared as overlays across the screen. The talent had a limited time window to "patch" them by dragging patches onto target spots. Successfully clearing all blemishes within the time limit unlocked gifted subs for the community.
Each activation increased in difficulty — more blemishes, less time, faster spawns. Between game rounds, the streamer demonstrated real CeraVe patch application, discussed skincare habits, and answered live questions, making product education feel like a natural conversation rather than scripted talking points.
We leaned into the oddly satisfying aesthetic of the pimple popping trend without being gross. The visual feedback mirrored the actual product experience: visible proof that the patches work. The brand promise wasn't explained — it was performed live, with stakes that mattered to everyone watching.
